Respiratory Illness Safety Agreement

As singing activities are considered highly susceptible to spreading illness, we will proceed with a hybrid lesson format as long as it is safe to do so. In some cases respiratory illnesses, such as COVID-19 or RSV, can result in long-term damage to the voice which may require additional treatment or therapy for singers. Students will have the option to meet either virtually or in-person at their convenience. Please note we reserve the right to resume virtual lessons at any time. Please read and consider the protocols below prior to attending lessons in-person.

In-person lesson requirements for voice students:

• All voice students attending lessons in person must be fully vaccinated.

• A singer's voice is their livelihood. Please respect the health of your teacher and fellow studio mates and do not come to your in-person lesson if you feel under the weather in any way.

• We ask all students to commit to communicate about any potential Covid-19, flu, RSV or similar respiratory illness diagnosis or exposure.

Students should opt to meet virtually if they or a member of their household:

• Are feeling ill (cough, fever, chills, congestion, etc.).

• Has been notified of potential exposure to any airborne illness.

In the event of potential exposure, students should:

• Notify their teacher immediately.

• Opt to meet virtually or cancel their lesson. Please note we require 24 hours notice for cancellations.
